In these texts, A is the person whose Sun is read and B the person whose North Node receives it.
In this system’s karmic language, contacts with the North Node are interpreted as bonds related to previous lives. This explanation belongs to the spiritual framework of the approach. It does not allow anyone to verify a past history between two people.
Facilitating contact
There may be a sense of familiarity, of having known each other before or of continuing something that had been interrupted. The way they treat each other feels close and trusting. The other aspects can reinforce or moderate that impression.
Obstructing contact
The familiarity may come with a fear of losing the partner’s love or a fear that something will happen to them. The karmic interpretation links that feeling with a possible abrupt interruption of the bond in another life.
The idea of a trace from that past is used here symbolically. It should not be confused with a biological claim about memories stored in the cells.
Aspects of the Sun
The Sun represents personal radiance, the way we defend our own territory and the conditions under which we allow other people to come close. It relates to behaviors we feel are our own, even when we don’t recognize having learned them from those around us.
Sometimes a family is surprised by a reaction and wonders where that way of acting came from. That surprise invites us to look at what we need in order to let someone into our space, why we find it easy to approach certain people and why other presences feel threatening. It also lets us ask ourselves how others perceive us.
When the traits of the Sun match what was learned in inventory 1, their expression may feel more natural. If they differ from what the family or the culture expects, we may try to resemble an image we don’t feel is our own. In that search for acceptance, the “masks” we have spoken about appear.
In your love relationship that question comes back: how much room you have to show yourself as you are, and how much you feel you must play a role in order to be accepted.
