In these texts, A is the person whose Venus is read and B the person whose Neptune receives it.
Neptune represents the sublime and the magical, but also what is hard to pin down and can awaken suspicion.
Facilitating contact
The encounter has something special about it, as if time stood still. Both may feel they lose themselves in each other’s eyes or that they share a space set apart from everyday worries.
Obstructing contact
A may suspect that B is hiding something, without necessarily having information to confirm it. The imagination can multiply interpretations and make closeness harder.
Depending on the other aspects of the synastry, that distrust may be more or less intense. It matters to distinguish what one fears from what one knows, and to weigh what has happened in light of the agreements both have chosen. A suspicion is not enough to claim that those agreements have been broken.
Aspects of Venus
Venus represents the way we give and receive affection, sensuality, charm and physical closeness. Its aspects are read in relation to the attraction, enjoyment or discomfort that another person’s closeness can awaken. As you read these descriptions, think about how you enjoy affection with your partner and how they like to receive it.
The intensity of that experience depends on the synastry as a whole and on the awareness with which both live the bond. Inventory 1 is also essential: family and cultural models influence how comfortable we feel with touch. Two people can feel attraction and have different needs for closeness.
Respecting your own boundaries and your partner’s allows closeness to become a shared discovery. No description of affinity replaces what each person wants or accepts at a given moment.
