Most points in Hydrogen
A high score in Hydrogen signs is read as a need for bodily movement and action. Prolonged stillness can feel uncomfortable; dynamic activities offer a way to express the energy available.
Exercise, physical exploration and tasks that call for decisiveness or courage can bring satisfaction. Varied activities of relatively short duration that involve the body tend to be appealing. Even at home, the person may look for something to do and keep moving.
When one sign predominates
If Aries predominates
They prefer short activities, without overly rigid routines, that leave open the possibility of changing. Their impulse is to say it and do it: they don’t like waiting or depending on other people’s pace to get started.
They head for the goal. They may leave a place or an activity once it stops interesting them, without staying there just for protocol’s sake. Their energy seems to renew itself at the prospect of a new challenge.
If Leo predominates
They need to combine activity with ample periods of rest in which they also get attention. They know how to organize the people around them around their goals.
Their generosity can lead them to take charge of others and make decisions they consider good for their partner. If they don’t talk those decisions over, the help may be received as control. The difference between offering and deciding for the other person matters a great deal here.
If Sagittarius predominates
They may enjoy competitive sports and activities with clear rules. Their energy lets them set long-term goals and keep a horizon to move toward.
They also like group activities where they can give their opinion, debate and share. Defined rules and hierarchies help them understand how the group works and the place they hold in it.
Few or no points in Hydrogen
It may seem that the person lacks initiative or needs a first push from outside to get going. Yet their motivation may be found in another group of the distribution.
If Silicates predominate, activity makes sense when it has a concrete why and what for. If Oxygen predominates, curiosity, learning or conversation can spark it. If Water predominates, affection, helping and service can awaken the willingness to act.
Noticing that difference keeps you from mistaking a particular way of getting motivated for a lack of interest in everything.
As a couple
Shared Hydrogen
Both enjoy activities that involve movement. Exercise and pastimes outside the home can give them common ground, because they let them use the bodily energy they want to express.
Playing a sport together is one possibility, as long as the activity appeals to both. They may also enjoy plans that break the stillness and give them a new challenge.
The ease with which they act on impulse can become a difficulty when deciding. Both may set off before considering the time, the resources or the consequences of what they have chosen.
Hydrogen and Silicates
This combination can create tension when there is no other interest bringing them together. The person with most points in Hydrogen seeks movement and action for the pleasure of moving. The person with most points in Silicates can move a lot, but wants that activity to lead to a goal or a recognizable result.
The difference shows when one proposes acting right away and the other asks what for or why it’s worth doing. The Silicates person also won’t want to interrupt a task in progress to follow each of their partner’s impulses. The disagreement may lie in the timing and purpose of the activity, without any personal rejection.
Hydrogen and Oxygen
This combination is considered compatible. Both may like being active, spending time with other people and getting out of isolation.
Oxygen seeks entertainment, expression and being listened to; Hydrogen needs movement and responds readily to the impulse to act. Although one leans more toward mental stimulation and the other toward physical activity, they can find many plans in which both needs have a place.
Open spaces and groups of friends tend to offer a meeting point. Staying shut in too long in the privacy of home may appeal to them less than exploring what is happening outside.
Hydrogen and Water
The difference in rhythms can create tension, especially if they don’t recognize other areas of affinity. Hydrogen may feel too intense for Water.
At first, the Water person may try to go along with every activity; if they keep up that effort beyond what they want, they may end up exhausted or resentful.
In turn, the Hydrogen person may feel frustrated by a stillness they read as apathy. Their direct way of speaking can hurt Water’s sensitivity, while Water’s silences can heighten the impatience of someone who expects an immediate answer.
A quiet life and a schedule full of movement can’t be reconciled by imposition. The difference invites them to recognize how much time they want to share in activity and how much each needs to recover their own rhythm.
Hydrogen as a meeting point
They can share plans that involve dynamism, physical action and movement: going to the gym, playing a sport, dancing or doing activities outside the home. One partner’s initiative can encourage the other to break the routine and try something new.
